A stunning, minimalist Murano/Venetian-style (1940s) cirular-shaped glass chandelier. It features 6 ribbed and slightly angled arms emanating from a sleek, ribbed center shaft. The arms hold large, fine, crystal-like round and shallow bowl-shaped bobeches, and the piece finishes with a tiered, ribbed finial.
Please note that this glass was mouth-blown without molds; each arm is unique, and the bobeches and arms vary ever so slightly. The color is magnificent and cannot be replicated with today's colors. This light amber hue has a citrine quality with a hint of the old fumé color (a very transparent light bronze) which gives the glass incredible depth. The ribbing throughout offers a wonderful reflection of light and color.
The piece has been completely rewired with a clear cord and short, matte-nickel-on-brass candelabra sockets so the bulbs beautifully illuminate the bobeches. The color of the hardware does not distract from the glass. It is also UL-certified.
Sold as install-ready with a matching matte nickel chain and canopy to your desired overall height (OAH).
